Social sewing sessions in Hove

Join us for some dedicated sewing time to indulge in your favourite hobby! Bring your sewing machine and current project, or use one of ours. If you love sewing but find it hard to make the space and time, this is the class for you. Sewing is a solo activity, but getting together with like-minded sewists can be rewarding and spark creative ideas as you share knowledge and experience. Laura is on hand to help if you're stuck with a pattern or technique.

New to sewing?

Beginners are very welcome to come along and start their sewing journey, but if the session is busy you may not get the attention you need, so Laura recommends trying one of her Beginners Only sessions first. There are some lovely projects to help you get started, like a cushion cover or a simple bag. It doesn't matter if you don't own a machine yet, as there are a couple you can use during the session. Just mention it when booking.

About your tutor

Hove Sewing Group is run by Laura O'Sullivan, a tutor with over fifteen years of dressmaking and teaching experience. Based in Brighton and Hove, she runs regular social sewing sessions and classes for adults with all levels of experience.
