Hire our Creative space in Hove

We offer the studio as a hireable space for workshops, classes, and creative events. You pay a fixed fee to hire the studio, and any income you generate from your event is entirely yours. You’re responsible for selling places for your event, but included in the rental price we will help to support your promotion by:

  • Listing your event here on our website 'What's on Page' 
  • Sharing it on our social media channels Instagram
  • Including it in our monthly newsletter

The Studio

Our studio is located at:

16 Kingsthorpe Road, Hove, BN3 5HR

  • Ground floor with step-free access
  • On road paid parking spaces outside the building
  • Large, open space filled with double aspect natural light
  • Facilities include:
    • Sturdy foldable 6ft wide tables x 9, 4ft wide tables x 4
    • Foldable chairs x 25
    • 13 floor-standing easels
    • 12 x A1 wooden drawing boards
    • Projector and screen
    • Art sink 
    • Small kitchen area with fridge
    • Two standard (non-accessible) toilets
    • Tofko 60 x 100cm etching roller press & Tofko 40 x 60cm relief press
    • A0 Cutting Table
    • Rack space to dry work during sessions
    • Exhibition boards that can be used to display artwork for events

We recommend a maximum of 22 people based on seating and table space, though hirers may adjust this depending on their specific setup needs. Tables and chairs are stackable, making a flexible and versatile space if floor space is preferred.

Please note, Insurance is not included, any group needing to do a Risk assessment, must carry out their own Assessment for their specific group needs.

 

Access & Use of the Studio

Before your booking, you’ll receive a separate document with all the practical information you’ll need. We’ll also arrange key collection in advance.

Please do not leave any art, materials or possessions in the studio without written permission from the studio manager.

Studio Hire Payment & Cancellation Policy

  • Nonrefundable 20% deposit required on booking.
  • Full payment is required at least 7 calendar days prior to the session to confirm the booking.
  • Bookings not paid in full by this deadline may be cancelled and offered to other clients.
  • Cancellations made with less than 7 working days’ notice will be charged in full, and no refund will be issued.
