It's also for ceramicists who have experience with ceramics and glaze and can work unsupervised.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat materials, tools and equipment are provided?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKiln firings, pre-made glazes and one type of clay are included in the cost of a session. You can bring your own things as long as they relate to stoneware. For example, if you want to bring a different clay or glaze, make sure it's stoneware, as Helen fires at cone 6, 1223°C.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMaterials included\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eES5 Earthstone: hand building \/ slab building clay\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eES20 Earthstone: hand building \/ slab building clay, usually for larger works. This clay is £4 per kg. Please weigh the piece you want fired at the end of your session and write it in the Clay Dues book.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eColoured slips in a variety of colours\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnderglazes for stronger colours\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA variety of pre-made glazes in buckets for dipping, and smaller pots for brushing\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRaw ingredients: oxides, carbonates and coloured stains in water mixes for rubbing into textures\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRaw ingredients to mix glazes, by appointment only (if you've done the intermediate course). Please get in touch before the session to share the stoneware glaze recipe you want to try.
